The NBA 2K League will see 102 players drafted for the inaugural season, an increase from the original 85 players outlined by the league.
Each of the 17 teams will roster six players, creating a starting unit with a sixth man.
The league also announced the details for the NBA 2K League Combine on Thursday.
- Will take place February 2-21 on PS4 & XBox One
- Players must play a minimum of 40 games at one position (PG/SG/SF/PF/C)
- There are 12 preset playing windows during February
- Player evaluation will be based on box score statistics and in-depth 2K stats
Games will consist of four, 6-minute quarters, with standard Pro-Am rules, with one position played per team for even roster composition. Players can choose from five archetypes for each position but must stick with one position throughout the combine (Full list of available archetypes HERE).
Players will be evaluated on statistics such as points, rebounds and assists, as well as in-depth stats such as shot release time, pass to assist and block efficiency. There will be no leaderboard, but players will be able to view stats and VOD highlights of their games throughout the process.
